Product Packaging

Description
The ISLC Product Packaging Competition Category aims to enhance creativity in packaging design, encouraging the creation of innovative and competitive packaging that can increase a product’s market value. This category can be joined individually or in teams consisting of at least two participants, accompanied by a supervising lecturer. The competition requires participants to present an evaluation video showing the process of creating the design until it becomes a final product.

Scoring Mechanism

  1. Concept: Originality and uniqueness of ideas; innovation; character; practical relevance; and market orientation (traditional, modern, retail, local, regional, and global).
  2. Innovation and Creativity: Emphasis on form development, packaging materials (if any) such as 3D structure (cutting patterns, folding techniques, carrying or stacking methods, etc.), combined with 2D graphic design elements (logo, brand, color, typography, photography, etc.) that enhance visual appeal and marketing value.

Competition Guidelines

  1. Concepts or ideas must be written on A4 paper, accompanied by sketches, photos, or other supporting visuals.
  2. Packaging design should be colored, with free theme and technique.
  3. The description must include details on the production process, components, accessories, and materials used.
  4. Visuals may be submitted in hard copy or soft copy format, either as videos or images/photos.
  5. Works must be original and accountable; if plagiarism or use of others’ work is found, the participant will be disqualified.
  6. Participants may submit a link to the video that has been uploaded on Google Drive or other media platforms.
